I have provided the information about both programmes as many students end up switching from their first choice to the other before or after they start. We are usually happy to allow this so long as you have done the right courses or do additional courses if needs be. The main difference is the level of mathematics in the two courses. The SRRE programme has a stronger engineering bias and you should only attempt this if you have done some University level mathematics. The SRM has a more management bias. You cannot do both of these programmes.
The linked files have details on admission criteria, accreditation links to information on current tuition fees, how to apply and a full explanation of how distance learning in the School of the Built Environment at Heriot-Watt works.
If you have any further enquiries please do not hesitate to contact the Programme Leader (Dr Pauline Thompson firstname.lastname@example.org) or our Distance Learning (DL) Team (SBEDLenquiries@hw.ac.uk) - you will need to register once only to write to this address.
