About
Use Weibull analysis to stop reacting to failures and start predicting them to confidently make data-driven reliability decisions. Note: Live Lessons will take place November 17th-21st, 2025, from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST. Lesson recordings will be available in this program portal at the end of each day. Program participants who cannot attend the live course times will have access to the course videos to complete on a self-paced schedule. Course Videos, Lesson Questionnaires, and all course materials will be accessible for one year following the course completion date. Students who complete this course will be able to: · confidently analyze (even small amounts of) life data, or data with lots of censored data points, to accurately predict current and future reliability performance to (amongst other things) compare components and designs; · know how to use the included ‘Acuitas Weibull Plotting tool’ to easily visualize failure data and know what key failure signatures to look for; · identify key failure behaviours such as infant mortality (wear-in) or the accumulation of damage (wear-out) that allow design and preventive maintenance (PM) recommendations to be made; · manage spare parts inventory more efficiently by understanding the likely number of product failures to inform sparing and logistics; · make data-driven maintenance decisions and optimize maintenance planning at virtually no cost by reducing or extending PM intervals to align with product failure characteristics, and provide key Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) inputs; · conduct warranty analysis and costing to identify optimal warranty periods to advertise to customers along with the expected amount of warranty costs to better manage financial risk; · perform ‘WeiBayes analysis’ to incorporate failure characteristics from previous models to greatly reduce the amount of data needed to make decisions; and · apply the skills above to real-world scenarios.
